Modu Food Service Inc. was founded in 2018. Initially, Modu Food Service’s goal was to produce high quality food for the restaurants at a central location so each restaurant’s food quality would not be affected by one chef or cook. Also, by centralizing food production into one location, we aimed to bring production cost & ingredient cost down.
In 2019, Modu Food Services expanded its target market to restaurants outside Modu Group and took steps to transform itself from a central kitchen to food manufacturing facility by obtaining Processed Food Registration from California Department of Public Health, and FDA Registration. In an effort to serve meat and poultry products to wholesalers outside the group, Modu Food Service also secured a USDA facility in Gardena and began production and sales of products that fall under USDA jurisdiction.
